See the major historical and cultural sights of Bridgetown, the “Metropolis of the West Indies”, on this unforgettable 5-hour tour that stops at Queen’s Park, St. Michael’s Cathedral, the Bridgetown Synagogue, the Parliament Buildings, National Heroes Square and Weisers Restaurant.
Stroll through the carefully tended gardens and colourful art gallery in Queen’s Park, the City’s main playground. Proceed down the centre aisle of St. Michael’s Cathedral to the Bishop’s Throne, which raised Bridgetown to the status of a City. Enter the recently restored Bridgetown Synagogue, the second oldest in the New World. Admire the beautiful Victorian stained glass and the ornate Speaker’s Chair in the Barbados House of Assembly. Visit the Cenotaph and the Shell Fountain in the attractively landscaped National Heroes Square. Then top it off with a traditional Bajan lunch at Weisers as you look out on to the superb Brandons beach.
The critics give it two thumbs up!
